Hello again, time for one of those more positive posts where I've found the magic combination of motivation and time to actually acheive a mini sliver of hobby nirvana.
The motivation stems from some of my recent birthday gifts, Muskets and Tomahawks plus three packs of Perry's excellent Indians. The bobble-head mountie is form my Brother who now lives in Canada. I also got a non-cheesy Canada t-shirt and a pack of Polar Bear Droppings (chocolate covered cashews) which all seemed overly apt.
Continuing the great tradition of buying a birthday present for ones self I was going to pick up SAGA and Northern Fury but then Maelstrom had a 25% clearence sale and I succumbed to my last "required" cycle of Warhammer Invasion.
Meanwhile I've actually finished soem of the French DW fleet namely 3 Toulon Cruiser, 3 Lyon Destroyers and 5 stands of Tiny Flyers which I tot up as 12 PPs all in. Not so bad :)
TOYS. I've been in a steady relationship with "the hobby" for many years now. This blog is an attempt to rediscover MY hobby and provide motivation to paint MY toys and play MY games. The topics may wander to rugby, cricket and the x-box but feel free to skip those bit if you wish........ either of you :)

Ridiculous and / or Sublime
More whinging about another bout of combined off / on sickness and far too much to do at work which has seen me unable to weild a brush or dice in anger for the best part of a fortnight :(
This evening I have recovered sufficiently to finish off my DW French battleship "La Chabal". Happy for all sorts of reasons all that was required was a few more washes and some minor higlights. Something about the scale meant that extensive highlights simply weren't needed. Luck more than skill but not as problem with any of that.
3 painting points might be slightly generous but such is life and witht he scheme set I've even started working on the Toulon cruisers and a squadron of destroyers. Hopefully I've started the ball rolling again after far too long rest.
Maybe someday soon I'll get to roll a dice or two :)
